That's what our laser engraved today! Along with the names of the core development team Now, engraving something into a sheet of plywood might not seem like much, but we achieved this by making a drawing in Inkscape, processing the postscript output into something gcode-like, then sending this to our home-made board containing home-made firmware. The laser hardware is a cheap laser cutter, that temporarily got it's brain disconnected so we could connect our stuff. No bits or bytes were hurt in the process, it's all open source!
Now that we got something that's working, it's time to publish about our project. We're not ready for production use yet, but we're on our way!
