LAOS Laser SimpleCode preview tool

This small tool written in Processing shows an interactive preview of the SimpleCode path generated by VisiCut for the LAOS Laser Project.

You can copy the 123.lgc file (the file created by Visicut) from the mbed board or run an TFTP server (for example TFTPServer for Mac) on your computer and let VisiCut upload the file to that location. That way you don’t need the LaserCutter to test this.

About LaOS

The LaOS project strives to produce an open source environment for laser cutting.

We do not build laser cutters, but we convert existing machines by replacing the driver board with our own.

The project consists of:

  • Platform independent PC software to send files to your laser cutter
  • Embedded computer board to replace the driver board of your laser
  • Firmware for our embedded boards

The LAOS project was initiated by Peter Brier (KekkeTek), Jaap Vermaas (Fab Lab Truck), Jelle Boomsma and Siert Wijnia (Protospace).
